Michael K. Robel

Senior Logistics Advisor and Simulation & M&S Expert

Michael Robel is a seasoned military logistics and modeling professional with over 40 years of experience designing, testing, and implementing advanced simulation and logistics systems for both military and commercial applications.  A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, he has served in key command and staff roles including Battalion S4 (Logistics), Maintenance Officer, and G-3 Operations during Operation Desert Storm.


Michael’s expertise spans logistics modeling, scenario development, and combat systems integration. He led systems engineering teams at Raytheon and GDIT, achieving top validation rates for complex simulations like WARSIM, OneSAF, and JDLM. His deep understanding of tactical logistics and real-world operational requirements enabled the creation of innovative tools like the Civil Effects Leaders Training Simulation and rapid adjudication models for joint combat operations.


He holds certificates in Modeling & Simulation and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, and his work has directly influenced Army force structure, campaign planning, and NATO-aligned M&S development.
